A Qualitative Study · 2026

The Inner Work
of Influence

What women creators need to grow without burning out
Many women building online platforms are navigating rapid growth in real time — often without clear models for sustainable leadership, emotional support, or decision-making at scale. This study was created to listen more closely.

“Growing without losing herself — that’s what this is really about.”

Why This Study

A space for
honest reflection

Rather than focusing on metrics or tactics, this inquiry explores the human experience of being visible, influential, and responsible for a growing audience or business — and the role coaching may play in supporting that journey.

This is not about optimizing performance. It’s about understanding what it takes to grow without losing yourself, and how coaching might serve as a supportive, grounding resource along the way.

Insights will be synthesized and shared in anonymized form through writing, presentations, and professional conferences. Individual names and identifying details will never be shared without your explicit permission.

What We Explore

The questions rarely asked out loud

01 Identity & Visibility

How increased visibility changes the way you see yourself — and the tension between your public presence and private self.

02 Emotional Labor

What being “on” actually requires from you emotionally, and the hidden weight of decisions that come with growing responsibility.

03 Sustainable Growth

How you define success, sustainability, and well-being for yourself — and what helps you stay grounded when things feel overwhelming.

04 Leadership Emergence

The ways you’ve stepped into leadership — often before you labeled yourself that way — and what that evolution has asked of you.

05 Support & Coaching

Where support feels most needed, where it’s currently missing, and what coaching would need to look like to genuinely serve creators like you.

06 What Comes Next

The questions you’re currently sitting with about your future — and what feels most important to protect as your work continues to grow.

Who This Is For

Depth over reach

Creators & Influencers Talent Agencies & Managers
The right voice matters more than reach. You don’t need the biggest account — you need the right perspective. Ideal creator participants are women who:
Have an established or growing online platform Monetize their work in some way Are in a growth or transition phase Are reflective and aware of their inner experience Value their well-being alongside ambition Are willing to share their experience through real conversation

Follower count matters far less than self-awareness and depth.

What you’ll walk away with. Participation is light on time and rich in return. In exchange for your honesty:
A personalized summary of key themes from the study The knowledge that your voice helped shape a larger, important conversation Early access to any published writing or findings from this research A direct connection with a certified coach who works at the intersection of visibility and well-being
You see what the public doesn’t. Talent managers and agency leaders are uniquely positioned to speak to the realities creators face behind the scenes. Ideal agency participants:
Work closely with creators in a management, talent, or advisory capacity Have witnessed burnout, overwhelm, or identity strain firsthand Prioritize long-term creator sustainability — not just short-term deal flow Are interested in the human side of influence and leadership Are open to sharing candid perspective on where support is currently falling short

Agency insight adds an essential layer to this research — and your perspective is genuinely valued.

How agencies can participate. Agencies can engage with this study in two ways:
Direct participation — a single 30–45 minute conversation with Lauren Referral — connecting creators on your roster who may be a fit for the study

This is not a marketing initiative. It’s a listening-led inquiry designed to surface patterns that can better inform how coaching and support are offered within the creator economy.
